What Are Filter / Strainers Used For?
Filter Definitio
A flter uses a disposable media to remove fner particulate from the stream. Dixon Sanitary holds Authorization Number 1446
for the 3A Sanitary Standard for Filters using Single Service Filter Media, Number: 10-4. Vertical mounting is necessary to meet
3A 10-04 requirements for minimal product clingage.

Strainer Definitio M
A strainer is a device used to separate solids from fuids. Here it is used for larger particulate matter from liquid or gas. It uses
cleanable media.

Full Flow Filters - Full Flow Coarse Strainers - Full Flow Fine/Medium Strainers -
Can be equipped with a variety of 1/4" or 1/8" perforations. Can be equipped with a variety of mesh
fltering media, down to 40 microns, (1/8" not 3A) screens for removing fner particles (20
media includes polyester, cotton to 100 mesh). See chart on page 365.
